The first step in the Quick Start Guide is to add the LeadPost pixel to your website. We've built a Pixel Assistant to help you do that.
LeadPost Pixel Assistant
Just enter your domain or the URL where your website is hosted, and then click the install button. Then, the Pixel Assistant will scan your website to see what technologies you are using for your website.
After that, the Assistant will make a recommendation.
Automatic Google Tag Manager Setup
For instance, if you use Google Tag Manager, it will offer the ability to automatically publish your tag to Google Tag Manager which you can do by signing in to Google. (To automatically add the pixel with Google Tag Manager, you have to have Google Tag Manager on site and you need to have access to that Google Tag Manager Container.)
WordPress Plugin
The Pixel Assistant will also scan to figure out what technology platform you're on. For example, if your website is hosted on WordPress, the Assistant will identify that. (For WordPress, we actually have a plugin you can use to install the pixel.)
Manual Setup
If you want to install the pixel directly, you can do that by clicking "View Code (Advanced)."
Then you'll be presented with the script and specific instructions on how to install it.
Troubleshooting
Once you believe you have the pixel properly placed on your website, you can come back to this step to verify whether it was placed properly. If the pixel is detected, you'll see a green dot indicating that it is properly placed and Step 1 will be marked as complete.
If for some reason you believe you've placed the code properly, but you're seeing an alert that says it's not detected, you can scan again and use our troubleshooter.
